I would give Palin and Beck credit for having succeeded in taming the tiger after they let it out of the cage.

Here is another example of where the tiger was let out of the cage and now it is becoming difficult to tame it. Dick Armey started the Tea Party after Nov. 2008 and now when he is expounding some sanity, he is just unsuccessful. Kind of reminds you of Osama who was initially propped up by the US.

I would truly feel very proud to be an "American by choice" when we as a nation return our politics as we saw it during the days of Ike, Kennedy, Johnson etc. I think many on this thread are old enough to have experienced those days when we had stalwart Senators from both parties.

However, I do agree that the outcome of the "Koran burning" is an achievement that we can feel proud about in so much that we achieved our goals non-violently.

Enjoy this particularly the video clip at the end.
