Nonwhite folks are just as likely to be evangelicals as whites.

Even if that were true which I doubt,

Well, you don't know much about it.

>o? none of the non white evangelicals have the political clout white evangelicals do.

Actually evangelicals aren't really about political clout. Politics rarely plays a part in evangelical churches.

And Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton, mentioned in your earlier post, are not evangelicals. Think TD Jakes.

------------------------

You mean you think we're more civilized.

I wouldn't go that far.

First off, many Muslims are well educated and affluent. Osama bin Ladin, for example. Zawahiri, the doctor, for another example. The guy who tried to blow up a vehicle in NYC recently. KSM, who confessed to beheading that reporter named Pearl, went to college in North Carolina.

They come from much more violent societies.

That's just another way of saying they're less civilized.

-----------------------------------------------
In addition, they have been subjected to considerable violence from outsiders fighting over their oil.

Egypt, Yemen, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Somalia have no oil. Okay, Yemen has a little but not much.

Those countries haven't been invaded or attacked by outsiders till they attacked us or people attacked us from their soil. At any rate, we didn't initiate any conflict with them prior to being attacked.

----------------------------------------------
The ME was civilized thousands of years before northern Europe. If anything they should be more civilized than us. Don't liberals always brag about how advanced Islam was in the middle ages (remember you posting about the glories of Cordoba)? I think those boasts are gross exaggerations but apparently you folks don't even believe the stuff you say.

Very true. The Islamic empires became fairly corrupt, did not espouse democratic principles like some Euro nations and did not have an industrial revolution. In addition, they experienced considerable climatic change....much of which is their fault.

So then, they are not as advanced as the West.

The climatic change is bogus, but the rest is just rewording they're not as civilized. I say they ought to be.

--------------------------------------------------
Muslims on the other hand are, in your mind, brown third worlders and you EXPECT them to be murderous savages .... so you have a very low standard of behavior expected for them.

Now, you're in my mind??? Get over yourself, Brumar.

I think I'm accurate there.

--------------------------------------------------------
Sure I do. But he is less responsible for Muslims killing Americans than the Muslims who commit the crimes. You should direct your outrage at the people you know are bloodthirsty killers.

You mean like Reagan and Ariel Sharon?

No. There's that false moral equivalence again.

--------------------------------------------------------
Tell me, what about violence over the Mohammed cartoons in Denmark? Do you think that cartoonist was as horrible as Terry Jones?

No, I think Jones was a much bigger problem.

Sure, Jones was an American (a southern American at that), not a Euro. A Christian, not a secular guy.

Yet Jones ultimately didn't do anything. The cartoonist did.

Of course, in both cases, the ultimate blame for any blood shed lies with the savages who shed the blood.

World Recoils in Horror as Christians Attack Peaceful Muslims

Oh wait, it was the other way around. So don't expect to see much coverage of this brutal attack in Barack Obama's former homeland.

A CHRISTIAN church leader was stabbed in the stomach and a reverend was beaten up in an attack on a group of worshippers in Indonesia yesterday.

The Christian church leaders were attacked as they prayed in a field in Bekasi, West Java, the Jakarta Globe reported.

The attack followed tension between the congregation and Islamic extremists in the region.

The hard-line religious group the Islamic Defenders Front (FDI) and Bakasi Mayor Mochtar Mohammad even prevented the Christian congregation from holding religious services in their local church, which was sealed shut.

The group to was instead forced to hold services in a field.

Saor Siagian, a lawyer representing the Batak Christian Protestant Church's (HKBP) Pondok Timur Indah congregation, told the newspaper that the church leaders were stabbed by unknown motorcyclists during yesterday's service.

"[Congregation leader] Sihombing was leading the congregation for Sunday Mass when he was stabbed by someone riding a motorcycle,” Mr Saor said, adding that Reverend Luspida Simandjuntak was also assaulted.

In August, a group calling itself the Jaya Muslim Forum (FUI) injured eight members of the Christian congregation in another attack.

Denmark: Man Who Set Off Explosives May Have Been Attempting to Attack Newspaper Behind Mohammed Cartoons…

The never ending cartoon jihad…

(Reuters) – Denmark raised its terror attack preparedness Saturday, the ninth anniversary of the September 11 attacks on the United States, after a man set off a small explosion in a Copenhagen hotel Friday.

Daily newspaper Ekstrabladet, citing police sources, said police had found a map with the address of daily Jyllands-Posten’s headquarters in the city of Arhus circled among the man’s belongings.

Jyllands-Posten’s publication in 2005 of cartoons of the Prophet Mohammad provoked protests in the Middle East, Africa and Asia in which at least 50 people died.

[ Hmm, so far, the death toll over the cartoons exceeds the death toll over the non-existent koran burning. ]

Last year a plot to attack the paper was unveiled and in January the creator of the most controversial cartoon escaped an axe attack by a man with al Qaeda links.

…After the explosion, police surrounded the suspect in Orsted Park and security personnel removed a bag wrapped around his waist with remote controlled cutting pliers.

He said the suspect appeared to be European or North African and around 40 years old and spoke excellent English.
