Can't speak for Steve, but *I* sure as hell do.

He basically dictated the terms under which Clinton was forced to manage the economy and as a result we had a few years of prosperity.

It is true that the economy collapsed at the end of Clinton's term, but it is hard to blame Clinton (or Gingrich) for it -- economic cycles happen and factors that have nothing to do with politics often control the situation. Just as Bush was dealt a bad hand with the economic collapse at the end of his term, Clinton was, too.

The Democrats just manage the PR better.

Gingrich resigned after the 98 elections. He could have laid a gold brick before that and wouldn't matter to me...

You'd recognize some of the republicans who forced Gingrich to resign...

Now you know what I think of Boehner also.
