One of the great injustices when I was in high school happened to pregnant girls. They were banned from the school (one of the country schools was willing to take them) and their boyfriends, usually high school jocks, went merrily along.

We saw it as an injustice but weren't yet conscious enough of political reality to do anything about it. And the "we" in that sentence, the more I think about it, was limited to a fairly small group (my friends, and not all of them).
