Dan3, Let's say for what ever reason, but mostly because he wants to be independent and not beholding to others, Mr Widgetmaster starts a small business as a Subchapter S corporation in 1998. He works 12-14 hour most days, including working on weekends if need be. Mr. Widgetmaster likes to work and he wants his company to be successful. On average, his company grosses $290,000. a yr. Mr Widgetmaster employs 4 people. Most of the revenues that come in from selling his widgets goes to pay the salaries of his 4 employees. It also pays the utilities, insurance, local, state and federal taxes, and is invested in maintenance and new equipment etc. After Mr Widgetmaster pays all of his expenses, he manages to take home a salary of $36,000. a yr because that is all that is left after expenses. In the eyes of the people making up the tax laws, and because his is a subchapter S corp that grosses $290,000., according to govt taxing standards, he is now considered "rich." Would you agree that Mr. Widgetmaster is rich? That is basically what is happening to me and thousands of other small business's in this country. If that is the liberals idea of "fair", I don't want any part of it, but go ahead liberals...........keep it up. You will be eliminated from the pool of people representing your state in the U.S. Congress because I and other like minded individuals are telling everyone we know what this government is doing to American citizens. Now...............I understand there are thousands or maybe millions who like this arrangement very, very much. They too are my enemy,(I know........strong word, but true) and I will do everything within my power to make sure they get the message too. Class envy destroys liberty and freedom. Class envy is so ugly. Class Envy Class envy is a tool used by Marxist, Communist and Socialist to pit the middle class and the rich against each other. When the rabble get enough, they ask the politicians to do something. The rich are taxed or have their wealth confiscated so that the leaders can "spread the wealth around", when in reality it is kept in government coffers and only brings the wealthy down to the level of the workers. This leaves the government as the only employer, keeps wages down, and reduces productivity. animal-farm.us And I will add........class envy creates poverty and destroys nations........like the United States of America.
