I was undecided about it for a long time, but now believe the electoral college should be abolished.

I'm not sure how you came to that decision, but I personally don't see any benefits to abolishing the electoral college. We'd be ruled by the population centers, the North East and California. We'd never see a conservative majority in Washington ever again, that's a fact.

Abolishing the Electoral College would replace our Republic with a Democracy.

That is not a good idea.

I know this has been played a lot, but imo, it doesn't hurt to be reminded.
