The company continues to see 10%-15% sequential revenue growth in Q3 from Q2, with second half revenue up 10%-15% from the first half. Acer expects growth to be driven by new PCs with the latest Intel processors that are expected to launch in August and September. Acer shares fell 4.1% in today’s trading in Taipei.

As retail channels in North America and Europe decreased inventories to normal levels in August, HP's September shipments are expected to increase to as many as 4.2 million notebooks and Acer's to 3.6-3.8 million units, the sources pointed out.
