It is sickening, abhorrent, and an embarrassment personally and wrt the principles of America. It is damaging to our image and potentially devastating to our foreign affairs. It also damages the credibility of our military operations, which can not afford this particular kind of setback right now. I would say far worse than the Melee massacre, which was a senseless large scale slaughter occurring during the VietNam war.
