As my grandfather used to say about the stock market "nobody knows nothing". So don't feel bad. We all just invest based on common sense and clues we get about the future. In the short run anything can happen and in the long run we're all dead.

Lee, Good luck on your MBA. But don't expect to learn anything about investing in an MBA program. I went to Wharton and the professors were totally ignorant about real world investing. They were all into MPT and Junk Bonds, two areas that were discredited soon after I went to work. Also, The U. of Penn once turned the endowment over to Wharton's finance Department. The results were so horrible that they brought in alum John Neff to save the money. However, the two years can punch your ticket so you can get a job in the business, and that is vital.

I believe you only learn how to invest by investing for a long time, reading a lot, most of it crap, and working like a banshee.

Good luck, MB
