Not every state has massive income from oil revenues.

Sounds like the plan worked for the good of the people over th elong run....

Also checked homes for sale in Anchorage proper. It didn't seem that expensive to me. Many modern nice 3/2/2 homes for sale in the $150k range even in Wasilla.. Of course in most of the south and midwest prices are half that or less..
