Here are some numbers for the Republican primary:
O'Donnell: 30,561 (53%)
Castle: 27,061 (47%)

There aren't comparable Democratic numbers because the race was unopposed. However, the State Treasurer was contested among Democrats, and the votes were 18,800 to 15,800--names and exact numbers don't matter here. There were clearly a lot more Republicans who were energized to vote than Democrats, but that may have been because of the nature of the race. But Chris Coons better run for his life and not take anything for granted, as he will be facing a bunch of angry hornets who will definitely turn out to vote.
