Read but could not refind article that said monitor prices were coming down too. So monitor, ram and HDs all come down a little and Apple makes even more this Xmas.

I hadn't thought of the iPad's having an impact on demand for hard drives and other PC components. I find it hard to believe the effect will be great. But if it is significant enough, it may help support Apple's profit margins on computers.

MHO? "Computers" are dead meat. Macs and PCs. My iPad is faster and more convenient. Yes accountants and scientists and some others will require super computing on board, but 90% of us don't need a super computer. The cloud is fine. Faster for us.

Yeah I have a few minor issues with my iPad. It's first ever generation, the stuff that follows 3rd 4th 5th 20th generation will bury PCs and Macs. Take it to the bank. A lot of money will be made and lost.
