During the Bush Administration the Taliban were addressed in Afghanistan and defeated. It was done in relatively short order and the war was over. There was some mop up to do in the out lying areas but there was also a new Government considered capable of taking care of it's own business, with some minimal support from the US. That began to unravel before Bush left office and has now become an increasing concern.

The Bush Administration was more focused on Iraq, which has been an unprecedented success, not a Garden of Eden of course but certainly it is has gone far better than Bush's critics prophesied.

Obama massively escalated it. Like LBJ escalated Kennedy's Vietnam war.

How many more must die before your war president stops his massacre of innocents in Afghanistan?
