lion's share of federal and state funding goes to large research universities, who produce sophisticated research and many Ph.D. graduates. I graduated in chemical engineering from two such institutions, the University of Texas and UC-Berkeley. These and similar universities make a huge contribution to our country, but we need to give more emphasis to training work-ready technical professionals. We need more work-ready college grads southbendtribune.com
