I think Gates wants to do it, but I'm not sure Obama has the stomach for the fight. It will be a FIGHT, too, to get rid of every useless base, defense plant, and make-work gummint employee soldier boy, in EVERY state in the union. A lot of towns wouldn't exist without their base or defense plant! It won't just be the (R)'s howling bloody murder.
