That's only a small part of the party associated with Ron Paul. There's a much larger segment drawn by the Beck-Palin "Restoring Honor" Rally. They're all foreign policy hawks.

the movement began with one theme that included small constitutional government and fiscal responsibility. that theme brought in many independents and even some democrats. it is a diverse group. foreign policy was never part of the movment and the more they try to address issues beyond the theme, the more people they lose. ron paul may benefit from the movement but it is only by happenstance.

people say things about the movement all the time to try to divide it and drive people away. most of it isn't true.

there is no leader to the movement no matter what the MSM and others would like to believe. and there are as many against palin as for her in the movement. the abortion issue and religion should have never been brought into it, but some do anyway.

palin's endorsements are meaningless. as are any other so-called 'leaders'. palin just happens to be for many of the people the movement would support anyway. it makes her look like she's leading something, but she's not. she just a part of it. people that are part of the movement vote on the issues, not endorsements. palin could have come out against o'donnell and a very high percentage would have voted for her anyways. the movement is diverse and decentralized with some factions fighting each other. but there is one common theme.. small constitutional government and fiscal responsibility.

The "Tea Party" is a whole lot of squishy, vaguely defined stuff. Who's the leader? I think it's a lot of angry, disillusioned Bush voters. Mostly they seem to hate Washington. Do they even have a platform?
