The wildlife loves reclaimed mine areas.

But the fact is, the reclaimed area returns to the wild very quickly. That area there was reclaimed 2 years ago. Deer, turkey, bear have all moved in and colonized the area. In a few years it will look like the area where Daryl Hannah was arrested and then in a few more....like the rest of the forest. I know you won't take my word for it...you should go see it for yourself. Fly over West Virginia. Absolutely beautiful state. You can see the active mines and then you can see where areas have been reclaimed and returned to the wild. Or you can believe the propaganda from the environmentalists that show a state that is destroyed by mining.

You know that outdoor recreation is nearly as big of an economic force in WV as mining, right?
