Al, > I am not rejecting their work like you or tim are. I accept their work only within the context of the CBO's goals, which basically amounts to accounting. I don't think their numbers should be used to "prove" that government can prevent a crisis from turning into a catastrophe. WAY too many variables to account for, most of which depends on ideology. Yet politicians (especially Obama) use the CBO numbers in their speeches because it gives an air of objectivity and quantitative analysis. Tenchusatsu
