Glenn,

MSN is already deficient relative to most local ISPs. It takes on the order of 4 or 5 minutes to plow through their fluff before you can get to the net itself. I was with them briefly, then switched to a local (EROLS). Now I'm connected in about 20 sec. Plus they charge by the hour instead of a flat rate. I don't believe they are clued in to what people want. They want to control content.

>>>Note the recent contract by MSFT to upgrade their backbone. I do not believe MSFT wants to get into the problem that AOL had with inadequate service.<<<

You know, I was just pondering whether MSFT isn't after domination of the OSP space at all...perhaps it is just looking for its own outlet to push the Microsoft logo into as many impressionable minds as possible. No need to pay for ad time...3 million customers and potential purchasers of more MSFT vaporware. Who knows what schemes truly are at work in the wily mind of Bill Gates! (subliminal messages??)

>>>My stance is just increase all the networks so ASND, COMS, etc. make more money<<<

Glenn, you da man!
