Different tools for different jobs and different people. I'm looking forward to getting an iPad at some point, but I don't imagine I'll want to give up my MacBook Pro. I'll use it less, but I won't give it up. Yes.. that statement befits your alias :O) There are so many things one can do with an iPad that I simply do not need to do.. OTOH over a year ago (closer to two) I was having a discussion with a buddy about netbooks and their utility for my scenario.. not much at the time.. Now with WiFi hotspots, 3G Netsticks, improved cell coverage, small foot print.. all make this a dynamic area.. and I see some direct benefits for me.. but I feel no need to be bleeding edge :O)

I foresee people continuing to use plain old notebooks and desktop computers.

Like Jobs said, there'll be room for cars and trucks. Lots of people have both ;-)
