I wouldn't buy all of it either, although some of it rings pretty true. It is hard to judge much of anything from my distance. Even the bank thing, just because they own him doesn't mean they bothered to let him know about it in a hard, in your face manner. And people have a way of not looking at what's right in front of their faces if they don't want to see. Obama doesn't strike me as a tough realist, tempered by the school of hard knocks. There was an armchair psychoanalysis of him that pointed out some narcissistic tendencies (like that's a surprise, he IS a politician) that seemed to have more than a kernel of truth.

It's late, this is pop psychology of the kind that is entertaining (sometimes) but that I wouldn't defend in any serious way. Unattributed but interesting.
