She believes that the universe was created in some 24 hour segments (and not that long ago). That has to influence her logical abilities to deduce fact from fiction in everyday life decision making - including taking our country in some direction.

If you and/or Tea Party supporters in general don't care whether or not a candidate is competent, as long as they indicate they will vote your way, then I am glad you and they don't represent a majority of the electorate. I happen to think having someone like Sarah Palin as president would be an unmitigated disaster for the country. Even more so than the Bush II presidency was.

I also have to wonder why it is that so many Tea Party candidates are, to me, utter fools, and why there don't seem to be many intelligent ones. What is it about that ideology that fails to attract brighter candidates?
