I have no idea if that is true. Nor do I think it necessarily follows that she somehow is unable to deduce fact from fiction.

There are many great Catholic Philosophers who believed things that I think are strange and yet these men are acknowledged for their greatness. I have always found the Catholic Belief in the conversion of bread and wine into the body and blood of Christ to be ridiculous, but I know many successful people who believe this and are capable of rational thought. I can't explain it but I certainly have observed it.

Lastly the discussion between Cogito and myself had to do with how the Tea Party sees her candidacy and I was presenting what I understand to be their rationale. Essentially they want someone who will support reduced spending, reduced taxes and smaller government. Certainly she is more likely to do this than her opponent. That is the bottom line.
