The reason is that the Republicans could only pass it by the reconciliation process. You know, that anti-Constitutional method that rammed this down the throats of America... Oh, that is right. It Is Ok As Long As A Republican Does It... For me, it takes tremendous gall for Rs to fight to keep the tax cuts for the rich from expiring. How Americans can sit there and not see how seriously corrupted that is boggles my mind. I know Dems are not perfect but by comparison, they are much better.
