And a lot of those peaceful demonstrators were jailed FOR YEARS.

So while Bejing feels compelled to avoid facing the shame of what occurred there, history will continue to be distorted in the minds of Chinese students.

And there implicitly, is China's ultimate problem. Unless it can have access to various points of historical facts and interpretations, it's a brain-washed society (as you so aptly represent).
