You might want to instead consider that both TSMC and Samsung will outspend Intel on Fabs over the next year. This somewhat markets a turning point where Intel will start falling behind in arguable the most advanced manufacturing sector. I don't expect either TSMC or Samsung to actually pull ahead of Intel in process tech for a while, but at some point, that is likely to happen as well, because Intel will be a minority planner in the equipment market.

You might also want to look at what fraction of advanced science & engineering degrees (MS, Phd) in the USA are awarded to US citizens vs non-US citizens. We educated most the Chinese & Indians who have gone home and unemployed lots of Americans. The process is far from over, but if Ben tanks the dollar, it might actually reverse for awhile.
