That's when the (R)'s absorbed all the southern racists and rednecks. That took them a step into crazy.

Then, Reagan adopted the weepy, fetus-loving Evangelicals, although he didn't even attend church and could give a shit about religion. That took them further into crazyland.

Now, the Tea Partiers have them convinced that they just STILL aren't crazy enough, and THAT's the problem..

Well, do note that the John Birch Society said that Eisenhower was a Communist, and a significant swath of the Tea Party movement is descended from the John Birch Society.
