ONLY TWO WEEKS FURLOUGH? I think they should insist on 26 WEEKS OF FURLOUGH. That would bring their annual pay and benefits in line with the private sector (who still have to work the whole year). Federal employees would still be way ahead of the private sector with their guaranteed, over-compensated retirement benefits.

Sounds like applying a bandaid when what the patient really needs is radical surgery.
