Not the elite, but certainly an educated populace. Look at the countries with highly educated people. Education is like a magnet, it pulls freedom and humanity and healthy living standard out of people. One has to learn how to think. I read Samualson on education this week and he was right on, radical an idea as he had. He said, and I agree 100%, forget worrying about teachers. The kids are not motivated. All of the motivated kids get through school just fine regardless of teachers. We are looking at the wrong end of the horse-lol. So what motivates kids? I came out of an environment where no one went past high school. Brother only made it to the 8th grade. But I had a really smart mom who educated herself and she taught me about Elanor Roosevelt and the depression and feudallords. Dad was fucking worthless-lol. Sold used cars and rank. Anyway, I looked for women who were alert. Married three of them and had two kids. My whole extended framily, except one, is from the prolitariat, but we all really worked our asses off getting educated. Like the Jews and Japanese do with their entire people. Even the intellectually challeneged are educated -lol. Everyone goes to school in my extended family and sort of forever. And our collective philosophy is that we help our prolotariate brothers and sisters. And ou entire family follows this path each through their own skills. lawyers and scientists and administrators abound. And we are all heavy duty left wing liberals! And we all know how to write a memo-lol.
