where the hq is doesnt matter its what laws govern the corporation. one thing ive already discovered as a us investor in canadian securities is that the provincial canadian regulators couldnt care less about protecting the interests of US investors. they are marginally even less interested in protecting investors than the SEC is. I dont if youve heard Rick Rule speak but his view is that investors underestimate the political risk in investing in perceived safe jurisdictions.
