Paul, those are amazing videos.....esp. the first one. Unless Christie is flat out lying on tape, I don't know how one single resident of NJ could be sympathetic to the teacher's unions. Teachers yes, but their union leaders, who strike the deals for them, no.

In view of the steady erosion of wages and benefits for private sector workers, I don't even know how any fair-minded NJ teacher could support their union leaders. Christie asked so little from those union leaders.

As for Christie himself, I like his direct style and willingness to draw a bold line in the sand. I've been watching him for a while out of curiosity, and now am becoming a total fan. He, and/or more just like him, are desparately needed at the national level, imo.

There may be a real life case study forming between NJ and CA. If Brown is elected, we'll be able to compare the progress each state makes on its budget problems. For people who even care about deficits, it will be interesting to watch.
