So because the Sharia courts in the UK claim the right to adjudicate criminal matters, it has become so?

If a Sharia court in the US decided that a woman who had committed adultery should be executed by stoning, would carrying out that sentence be legal here under any circumstance? No, it would not, just as it wouldn't be legal in the UK, either.
