This is the problem my sister had with Ameriprise. I don't want to go into why ( living above your means anyone? ) she set up a 72T wherein she has to withdraw $30k for yet one more year until she turns 59 1/2.

The thing is that her advisor did not keep enough cash or dividends coming in to cover the withdrawals. Forced to sell at just the wrong time. ^@$^$$#

I feel sure I can do better for her.

I am still mulling over converting my IRA to a Roth before year end. Need to run the numbers to see what it would cost--might opt for a partial conversion and put the dividend stocks in it.
