Why is that good? Why should someone have to risk his own life on a regular basis to provide for his family? That seems horrible to me!

Yes, I think the daughter was proud of her father, though thats not the message liberals get from that story. They just see how terrible it was to have been a maintenance mechanic that kept a plant running.
