You may have a point but I don't think it will last. Someone did an experiment once and had people wear glasses with prisms that turned everything upside down. They got so used to it that when the glasses were removed it required some days to get right-side up again. Same thing happens when you get used to steering an outboard motor by hand. I almost drove a sternwheel steamboat into the bank of Mississippi once because it had a steering lever instead of a wheel and I kept pushing it opposite of where I wanted it to go, like you do with an outboard motor. The undoing of the contrarian: he begins to be contrary to himself.
