you conveniently left out fox tv and cnn They are facing their own ratings pressures. People have a lot more choices in their sources of news than they did in the past. Before cable it was only 3 broadcasting networks. Now choices are far more plentiful which, in part, accounts for Fox generating more viewers than their competition. And even now they are facing increasing competition from internet media. That's the beauty of the internet.. It's hard to hide the truth for very long, despite the best efforts of the power elite. And access to that information is dangerous to closed societies. The more people get, the more they think they are entitled to. Consequently, the more the government political elite feel like they have to control access to that information. That's why you're too frightened to criticize your leaders in Bejing. We know it..
