Although the iPad is a strong hardware design, the real value comes from the apps available on iOS and through the App Store. Some really cool ones are free. This one costs $9.99.

sounds like a tablet will work like a laptop if I spend enough on accessories.

What about the other way around?
This herd mentality is just unbelievable - but not every body jumped on the tablet band wagon -
What's the "sweet spot" for battery run time - I mean the longer the better but 8 hours should be more than sufficient.
I can see Apple applications (like "paintbrush") selling in NA and Europe but me thinks emerging markets will go for value.
