Its an interesting thought. Relative use of natural gas in the US should continue to rise due it cheapness compared to oil and other energy sources. The bugaboo is that energy use in general may continue to fall in the US because of the economy. Maybe some kind of paired trade to hedge against the latter would make a sizable play into natural gas pipeline companies reasonably safe.

But yeah we were talking about two different things, I have not looked much at pipe companies...only producers and futures.
