It looks like they all traded on the buy side. The open interest on the contract was 1220. Also, the price of these options was much higher than what one might expect by calculating the implicit volatalities of the Jan2000 90s, 80s, and 105s contacts. Someone paid about $2 per contract more than necessary - a net loss of more than a quarter million. Very odd. The jan2000 90s are a much better buy with the ask being under $26. Would welcome other comments on this trade.

Re LDEAB (DELL Jan 2000 110 calls)

I bought a couple... but unlike steve, I can't buy them in 100 and 1000 lots. My best guess * and it is only a guess * is that it may be part of DELL's buy-back program.
