The comment about Dole was just an aside and only part of a larger story. You are correct, and I suspect he donates to many candidates.

If the point carries that Dole does not donate to Tea Party candidates however, it supports the story.

I believe that there is nominal difference between the entrenched politicians of both parties in Washington. If Republicans can't move their agenda without the Tea Party Congresspersons then they will have to come to grips with their demands.

It would not be a surprise to see the entrenched to collude to deny those who would represent the interests of the electorate input on some issues.
