Bill, the Democrats will just blame Republican obstructionism for letting taxes go back up.

Frankly I don't think we can afford $3T in additional debt...let alone the $700B from the 250K+ earners.

The Clinton era's "high" taxes, no one was complaining about. But, now, going BACK to those taxes, just for the wealthiest, is UNACCEPTABLE!

Historically, the Clinton era taxes were LOW.

Which would indicate that our taxes now are to low. That's the side of the Laffer Curve "theory" that conservatives never mention. When the tax rate is too low, optimum anticipated revenues will not be generated, and deficits will inevitably be the result. Which is why (R)'s in the modern era ALWAYS run massive deficits.

As they should. Because they're right.

No one said they can. But they can bring back balanced budgets by doing so.
