Yeah, well, it's a lot easier to let the tax cuts expire than to find 300B/year from the budget. Take 100B from defense and what else? Of course it is and with all the lobbyists pulling for D favors it's even harder - so do what they always do - straight line percentage cuts 10% or whatever it takes from everything. Even a total spending freeze would eventually work out as revenues increase over time with GDP. Make them compromise and spend within the budget we have like every individual or business does in the real world.
