Are *not* law, have NOT been passed and so are not determined yet at all.

(But I believe that you may be 'afraid' of whatever the policy choices are that may be made by the American public and their elected representation, regardless of whichever political party may hold the reins, and that's why you are so opposed to mandatory balanced budgets.)

But then again that's simply your fear and your choice.

(Personally I'm for mandatory balanced budgets as the FIRST step and then on to the hard policy choices once the politicians have no power to resist balanced budgets any longer.)
