No it doesn't. It assumes its conclusion.

Even if the assumption is a reasonable one (which is very debatable), that just making a reasonable assumption not really applying logic. And plugging in your conclusion as your assumption is a direct logical fallacy, and totally unreasonable. It negates any real argument. Your left with "The stimulus has a large beneficial economic effect because I say the stimulus has a large beneficial economic effect". No real logic behind that just bald assertion. The model is just an apparently accurate way to work out the details of the assumed conclusion, but if the assumption is wrong, and we have no solid reason to see it as right, accurately working out the details of the assumption is useless.
