Are you advocating altruism again? Do you believe Tom needs to love and support his fellow man to be a good guy in your book of life? What if he does not like his fellow man is the government going to force him to support you?

Are you changing the topic or is that a response to the issue of drug legalization? I'll answer it both ways.

I think drug legalization would be for the common good.

I also think more freedom in general, and smaller government is for the common good.

I sense you want more than that, but you might want to ask a more specific question.
