"There is NO non-living entity that appears remotely as "intelligent" as a single cell, by ANY definition."

How do I measure that or evaluate your statement? What is it (for instance) that you would find lacking in my computer were you to evaluate it for "intelligence"? What feature or component does it lack that the having of would make it (say) as intelligent as the very least intelligent of living cells?

Also, can intelligent cells get dumber? Can they lose some or all of their intelligence? Are there any cells that are not "intelligent" at all? Do cells come into existence with a finished level of intelligence or do they get smarter as they get older?

How would you compare the intelligence of a hair cell with the intelligence, say, of a tit mouse??
