Just fix the tax table for starters - phase out deductions as needed over time. Stability is a beautiful thing.

Shep, > No mortgage interest deduction, no deduction for dependents?? All income must be reported on 1099"s? No loopholes for businesses?

a) The mortgage interest deduction is one of the primary causes of real estate bubbles such as the one that burst two years ago.

b) With Obamacare and SS, the Nanny State will take care of any dependents you have.

c) Loopholes for businesses is one of the ways rich corporations become richer, because they are usually well-equipped to abuse them.
