Before we go off the deep end, ...there was a lot of chatter about a wacko jihadist operation amongst various intelligence agencies both here and abroad. Even the flight instructors for the Al Qaeda raggers missed the clue that they only wanted to learn how to "take off and fly"..... As a Commercial Pilot, I can attest to the fact that learning how to safely land a plane in numerous circumtances is the real challenge. It's kind of like the Duty Officer who failed to take proper notice and act on the warnings from the new Pearl Harbor radar site the morning of 07DEC41. After that, everything was 'after the fact', 'hindsight' and 'fix it'. We have immense resources and very talented people in the ranks who probably had a good idea 'something' like 9-11 was going to happen. But, did the Lord High Muckitymucks listen - or just do their typcial 'know it all' act and go play golf...??? The Dizzy City establishment is so power-hungry, egotistical and territorial, it's no real wonder that all the pieces didn't come together before the Towers got hit. .
