This is typical of what passes as accurate reporting on the current housing mess. The Post picks out a housing development in one of the best housing markets in the country and hints that short sales abound.

In reality, they point out only two examples of short sales. However, they hint at more.....some lady washing her driveway thinks the house next door is a short sale.....and maybe the one across the street. Bla bla bla.

Bad as that anecdotal nonsense is.....the two short sale cases they point out are pure BS. The first is a bartender couple. The husband lost his bartending job and now they can't afford the house. Huh? DC has one of the best unemployment rates in the country........he couldn't find another job as a bartender or waiter? Give me a break. And they wonder why the bank is playing with them.

The second documented short sale is a woman who could only afford her house if she had three roommates living with her. Again huh? When the three roommates moved out, she fell behind on her mortgage payments. So she put the house up for sale. That makes sense....not. Why not get three more roommates?

When the first purchase offer was accepted, she moved out before the sale was consummated. Huh? Now the bank is screwing with her. Wow! What a surprise!

I wonder how long the media will milk the housing crisis in order to sell newspapers or get clicks....becuase I'll tell ya this is one BS article?
