I have to doubt that gays and lesbiens make 10% of the U.S. or any population. With blacks at around 12% I see an overwhelming number of blacks in proportion to gays, transvestites, transexuals, lesbiens and all varieties of freaks included in the US population.

I do see an overly proportionate number of gays etc in the arts and media that constantly push their agenda. It makes for a skewed impression of the group.

Count the people in your family and friends who are gay etc. If the number is 10% you live in a "gay" neighborhood or your family and friends have been traditionally involved in the arts and that raises the number.

Their aren't many if any gay cowboys and brokeback mountain was a film created to stab at the heart of the American psyche.

They look for areas in which they can pry open American fabric and insert themselves and at the same time attempt to destroy the traditional heros. A relative handful of gay service people have come forward, but why? To push the agenda. Even during Viet Nam with the draft very active I spent nearly 4 years in the USMC and don't recall one homosexual or even saw any evidence of closets gays. It certainly was easy enough for them to declare they were gay and not be drafted at all.

Places like San Francisco active recruit gays for the police force and promote them through the ranks, but that again is an agenda and has nothing to do with the nationwide populations.

All is just my opinion Carolyn, but I do think it has some merit.
